Já foi marcado, comentado, alterado e agora remarcado... e acho que essa movimentação deve ter deixado o pessoal que acompanhou meio curioso! Aquela música com a letra gigante e vocabulário bizarro, durando 10 minutos... como vai sair isso? Eu, por mim, só estou esperando que os alunos não durmam, já que agora minha participação vai ser no primeiro tempo de quarta-feira! The Poetry of Rock and Roll - Uma Pesquisa

Atendendo, com muito prazer, a solicitação do Josi.

A pesquisa que vc mencionou está inserida no NIC-Jr, que é o Núcleo de Iniciação Científica Júnior. Nele, alunos do Ensino Médio (Primeiro e Segundo anos) participam de pesquisas que amiúde têm uma ramificação na universidade (se bem que o CAp, senhores, é já universidade...). Em que pese a esmagadora maioria de pesquisas na área das exatas, eu insisto com as minhas em literatura.

Ano passado abri uma sobre Teatro do Absurdo.
E este ano esta, cujo resumo transcrevo abaixo.

Não vejo, em um primeiro momento, como licenciandos poderiam participar, mas vou procurar me informar... Talvez através do Sigma....


Resumo:

O projeto “A Poesia do Rock and Roll” tem por objetivo fazer com que o aluno do Ensino Médio interessado em literatura entre em contato de maneira aprofundada com o fascinante universo presente nas letras de rock. Para tal, o aluno será encorajado a realizar leituras (em português e em inglês) das letras de música como se estas fossem textos literários, travando contato com interpretações bem como realizando suas próprias análises.

O ensino de língua inglesa no CAp-UFRJ se dá por meio de workshops, que procuram atentar para a grande heterogeneidade do conhecimento da língua por parte dos alunos, assim como atender aos seus interesses diferenciados. Desde 2000, procuro reservar uma oficina de nível intermediário-avançado para alunos que nutrem interesse especial por música. Nela, os alunos procedem a uma revisão de conteúdos gramaticais do Ensino Fundamental e travam contato com pontos gramaticais mais avançados próprios do Ensino Médio. A ênfase do curso, no entanto, recai sobre a interpretação das letras das músicas, analisadas sob um ponto de vista literário. Para tal, os alunos são apresentados a elementos de poesia (como figuras de linguagem, metro, rima e ritmo) e alguns elementos de ficção, para os casos das narrativas. Como o curso trabalha com letras de música e não poemas, isto é, com versos escritos para serem cantados e não apenas lidos, aspectos musicais também são contemplados. Ao fazer isso, a oficina pretende demonstrar como o sentido não está apenas no conteúdo das canções (as letras), mas também em sua forma (a música propriamente dita). Esta pesquisa pretende justamente aprofundar este objetivo último da oficina.

A pesquisa pode ter um enfoque diacrônico, indo dos anos 60 (Beatles, Bob Dylan, The Incredible String Band, Nick Drake) aos anos atuais (Porcupine Tree, Coldplay, Liquid Scarlet), mas isso é passível de mudanças.

Alguns artistas a serem examinados são: The Beatles; Bob Dylan; The Incredible String Band; The Doors; Van der Graaf Generator; Jethro Tull; Pink Floyd; The Who; Genesis; Marillion; Joy Division; The Smiths; The Cure; The Clash; 10,000 Maniacs; Spock’s Beard; Porcupine Tree; Liquid Scarlet; Radiohead; Pearl Jam; Coldplay & tantos outros…

Os grandes poetas do rock and roll poets: John Lennon & Paul McCartney; Bob Dylan, Pete Townshend; Jim Morrison; Peter Hammill; Nick Drake; Morrissey.

Álbuns conceituais e operas rock também podem ser analisadas, tais como: Tommy (The Who); Quadrophenia (The Who); The Wall (Pink Floyd); Brave (Marillion); Snow (Spock’s Beard).


Fases:

1) Estudo teórico dos elementos de poesia e ficção.
2) Contextualização do estilo rock no panorama da música ocidental. Sua história e evolução.
3) Audição, leitura, e análise de músicas.
4) Produção, por parte dos alunos, de análises literárias de algumas das músicas estudadas ou de outras que venham a sugerir.

Para quem reparou, esta semana nosso querido teacher ofereceu a alguns alunos algumas vagas para um workshop sobre poesia no rock e o intuito deste post é que ele fale mais sobre este projeto para nós.

Outro motivo pra o post é pedir que o Evandro nos diga os filmes que pretende trabalhar até o fim do ano, assim eu posso fazer um post só com eles para todos poderem assistir em casa.
